Here we will focus on the many exciting Franking Labels that we offer and which constitute an extremely interesting and very popular collector's area!
Posta Faroe Islands has been issuing Franking Labels since 2008. Here you find info about different values, prints and not least the machines that we use.
Our Franking Labels are being printed on two different printing machines: aCon "Frankie" and "IAR - FO01".
We have been using aCon "Frankie" since 2008, whereas ”IAR - FO01” was used for the first time at the Nordia 2017 exhibition and is only being used for 2018-2019 and future issues.
aCon ”Frankie” is our standard franking label printing machine and is being used to all our franking labels. Around 40 different aCon "Frankie" machines are being used by Faroese companies and 1 by Posta Faroe Islands.
When using this machine, it is possible to specify any value provided it is the lowest postage rate. In 2019 this was DKK 11.00. If you want a different denomination, this is possible.
For reasons of confidentiality, we can’t disclose which Faroese companies have an aCon "Frankie" machine.

On our “IAR– FO01” machine we have a number of extra features and options. Among other things, it is possible to print a text on the franking labels. This franking machine is therefore used at trade fairs, exhibitions and other special occasions.
In addition to the print of denomination on the franking labels, a receipt is printed for each set. This receipt will be enclosed your order. There is only one “IAR– FO01” machine in the Faroes and it belongs to Posta Faroe Islands.
Our 2018 Franking Labels are also offered from "IAR– FO01" with print ("Local letter" or "Rest of World Priority A") + receipt, and are available with three different value combinations:
